Great Best Man Speeches: What Do I Say?

It says "with a good start you are already half-win", but it is not always that easy to pick up this "half-win"... especially in the world of best men.

To compose a best man speeche, the first and maybe the hardest part you have to face is pinning down what you are going to talk about. So you really need to spend some supperball time on considering what it this 5 mini-speech is about, what's the content and in what sequence you would like to reveal it.

All the succesful best man speeches do have one thing in common: they make people know the bride (and you) better and share your feeling about his marrige.

Starting by briefly introducing yourself would always be good. Tell the audience the relationship between you and the bride and broom, otherwise they will wonder.

Thank people, the parents and the guests. Traditionally its the bride's parents who are paying for the ceremony, but you'd better make sure first. When you do it try not using like "thank you for PAYING FOR..." but someway subtle, like "MAKE IT POSSIBLE". To the guests just nicely thank them for "being here".

Establish your buddy up. This is the center chapter of all best man speeches. Talk about his loyalty in friendship, his responsibility to family and his passion about love. The best description about this is you are writing a sales letter, and the product you're promoting is your buddy and his love to the bride. This may sound a little weird but it's literally true. I do know some guys feel embarrassing at this point, but do remember that you are going to let everybody know how wondering this guy is. The nature way for people to get the sense it telling a detail-filled story. The audience will like it and traditionally it is the time to show your humor.

Propose a toast at the end. This is why best man speeches are sometimes called best man "toasts". Ultimately you are bringing the amazing moment to everyone by wishing the bride and groom the sweetest. It's totally your call about how to do it. Using a quote or shouting something from you heart simply like "Cheers!", "Congratulations!" or "Salud!" will be cool as long as it is appreciated by all the guest and make them raise the glass.
